Alignable set out to create a social networking platform designed for small business owners to connect and exchange customer referrals. The aim was to disrupt the competitive nature of local businesses and foster a collaborative spirit. The hypothesis was that by sharing business opportunities with each other, these owners could generate more revenue collectively within their community.

Alignable aimed to create an onboarding experience that conveyed a clear message to all new users about the formula for becoming a positive contributor on the platform. The goal was to educate them on how to connect with others, nurture relationships by sharing knowledge and customers, and ultimately be impactful and thoughtful members of their community.
Problem

Main Street Insights
Alignable developed a community forum called Main Street Insights (MSI), where users can ask questions and receive responses from their network and the broader community.
Problem
Users of Main Street Insights (MSI) faced difficulties in reading and engaging with large content within the platform. The content was placed inside a modal, making it cumbersome to navigate and interact with. Additionally, some of the most helpful or best answers were not easily surfaced, leading to a suboptimal user experience and reducing the overall effectiveness of the forum. This issue hindered users' ability to quickly find valuable information and engage meaningfully with their community.
